The group was led by singer-songwriter John Faye, the frontman for the Philadelphia-based groups IKE. The group is best known for their song "Devil's Diary." Their first album was 's Whirligig.

    If a station played us, they really played us in heavy rotation, so our hometown stations in Philly, Y, and WDRE, and stations like 99X in Atlanta and tons of middle market size stations all over the country made "Devils Diary" basically a hit song in those cities. But big major markets like LA, New York, and Chicago did not bite.
